Keeping your teeth clean, may they be natural or not is vital for a healthy you. Implants like real teeth have to be guarded against the ravages of everyday life. Plaque, bacteria and other germs can get within the gap of the implant and bone causing an infection and subsequently failure. Flossing is also mandatory for both real and simulated teeth for it removes food deposits in areas where the traditional toothbrush cannot reach. Following up with a mouthwash tends to add some protection from brushing, killing any free-roaming bacteria that may have been loosened by brushing yet not expelled.
Most people feel that artificial teeth need little care, on the contrary, for they have nor nerves to send pain signals that indicates problems. When implants fail, they generally fail big time and may need further cleaning and re-implanting for it to recover its design and purpose.
